About

After working in preventative mental health care as a mindfulness educator, I gravitated towards social work because of its emphasis on exploring ourselves in the context of the world around us. My orientation as a mental health counselor is rooted in curiosity about what it means to be human and to heal. It is also grounded in the belief that any work we do to understand ourselves more deeply can have a profound reparative impact that goes beyond the individual into the community at large. Counseling is an opportunity to connect with someone who can hold space to observe and learn from your personal experience.

My therapeutic work often relies upon breath attention, mindfulness skills, and somatic awareness practices. I also incorporate techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamics. In our work together, it is my hope that you will feel seen, affirmed, and supported.

I am currently accepting a limited number of new clients. It is best to email, rather than call if you are interested in working together. I look forward to meeting you and discussing the ways in which I may be supportive at this time in your life. Note: Counseling is for everyone. Please inquire about a sliding scale based on financial need.
