Are you struggling to stay grounded in the present? It can be easy to catch ourselves overwhelmed with moments of discomfort from the past or find ourselves worried about what the future may bring. Sometimes it can feel impossible to take notice of the world around us when we are so consumed by emotions, memories, or distractions that take us away from the “here and now”. While the though of change may bring up worries of added work or pressure, learning how to identify when we are inundated with “there-and-then” thoughts can help bring us back to our present self. Change can be scary, but learning how to better understand ourselves and those around us can provide new opportunities of being. There are no deadlines or due dates in therapy. Therapy is a space curated to meet your needs in the present moment so that you feel strength and support in tackling whatever life throws at you. I graduated with my Master's degree Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. During my two years of clinical training, I worked with a broad range of clients at The Family Institute and at Mind Body Co-op. Prior to my time at Northwestern, I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a BA in English and BS in Psychology.
