I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years in a variety of settings including community mental health and state government employee assistance. I've counseled individuals suffering from mood disorders, anxiety, work related stress and trauma. Through my employee assistance work, I have helped those struggling to deal with secondary traumatic stress resulting from repeated exposure to stories about abuse and violence. I'm available to work with adults and adolescents. My cognitive-behavioral training is the foundation for my therapeutic approach, but I also incorporate mindfulness, meditation, acceptance and values based strategies in the service of symptom reduction and improvements in life satisfaction. For those looking for flexibility in their scheduling, I see people in the evening. Call today with any questions about my practice or to set up an initial appointment.
