About

My warm, open-minded, direct, and non-judgmental style cultivates a process that is both active and challenging. I'm not just here to listen; I'm here to help you get unstuck. Together we'll explore and confront the blocks in your daily life, as well as past events that are still holding you back. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, OCD, perfectionism, relationship issues, mood disorders, phobias, and trauma.

I enjoy working with a broad range of clients, including members of the LGBTQ+ community. Your treatment plan will be carefully crafted to meet your individual goals. My process draws on evidence-based techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as psychodynamic and Gestalt approaches. I can tell you more about that during our consultation.

Born and raised in California, I graduated from Stanford University before moving to New York City. In addition to being a psychotherapist, I am a Clinical Professor at New York University, where I have taught for the past 18 years. Email me for a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to see if we would be a good fit. I look forward to meeting you!
