I have over 25 years of clinical experience in diverse settings working with patients from various countries and cultures struggling with depression, anxiety, substances, trauma, and relationship issues. My non-judgmental approach is centered around each patient's particular needs, starting with feeling safe. The search for the right therapist can be a challenging process, or it can go relatively smoothly. It can sometimes be helpful to schedule a trial session with more than one person to see how it feels to talk about your private life with different professionals. Call me and let's discuss candidly what you want and need.
I offer a free 15min phone consultation prior to our first 45min scheduled session. During this time, I hope to get an idea of what's been going on and help you clarify what kind of therapy might be most appropriate. If we decide it makes sense to work together, we can discuss setting up our first session (in-person or online).
Consistent curiosity is key to my work. During our first full session, we'll delve deeper into what is happening in your life right now, especially any symptoms you're having, and I'll also ask about your personal and medical history. After our first 1-2 sessions, we can discuss what would be best going forward.
