I was in a similar situation when I was 30 – in an unfulfilling and stressful job. I went back to school, earned my B.A, and earned my M.Ed in counseling & guidance, and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. It can be confusing to figure out which direction to take in life, or how to overcome life’s obstacles. Let’s work together to understand and resolve your struggles and help you to follow the path you choose to follow. I have received training in emotion-focused therapy (EFT), psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I will customize our sessions to fit your needs.I have experience with a wide range of clients from diverse backgrounds. Besides my private practice, I also work as a researcher/counselor at the University of Hawaii – Center on Disability Studies specializing in special needs youth and adults, and as a counselor at Hawaii Tokai International College, specializing in Japanese international and local students.
