About

Therapy is not always an easy thing to jump into, especially when taking care of your mental health may be a stigmatized topic. For this reason, I must say, I applaud you for taking the first step and researching a counselor/therapist that fits your needs. I am a female, African American counselor whose goal is to "Bridge the Gap" between our culture and the importance of taking care of our own mental health. My passion is working with young children to help lay the foundation, older children to teens to help them process through transitions, and adults in order to assist in their journey of mental health and wellness.

I specialize in laying the foundation with young children to help identify/process through emotions and develop coping skills for every day life as well as traumatic situations. I also work with older children, teens, and adults to help them process through life situations, heal from trauma, and develop skills/solutions to enhance their mental well-being.

I am here to be a safe space and a listening ear, in a non-judgmental way. We all go through different types of situations and some of which we just can't make it on our own, and it is definitely ok. Allow me to go through them with you and help you come out on the other side with the knowledge and power to handle those situations.
