About

The process of finding a therapist can be daunting, but I believe it is a sign of courage and strength to seek help for lasting personal growth and for stronger relationships. My overall perspective about therapy is to show acceptance, compassion and care to all clients; to build safe, warm, trustworthy, and collaborative therapeutic relationships; to apply evidence-based and culturally-competent therapeutic concepts and skills to address clients’ specific needs; and to build upon client’s strength for change. I speak both English and Mandarin and provide immigration mental health evaluations. I am licensed in MD, D.C., and VA.

I provide individual, premarital, marriage and family therapy to diverse population from systemic lens on issues such as trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, anger, premarital, marital, and family communication, cross-cultural adaptation, interracial relationships. I offer immigration mental health evaluations for Extreme Hardship, Asylum, VAWA, and U visa.

I tend to be eclectic in my theoretical orientation. I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic, Brainspotting, CBT, DBT, attachment-based methods (EFIT), Bowen, family systems, structural, and solution-focused therapy.
