My practice emphasizes integral, psychodynamic psychotherapy and consultation for a variety of psychological, relational, medical, cultural, and spiritual issues. I specialize in working with adults who grapple with anxiety, depression, loss, stress, health, disability, identity, sexuality, relationships, transitions, trauma, creativity, spirituality, life path/purpose/meaning and fulfillment. I also enjoy providing consultation to colleagues. Building on my fifteen years of private practice experience during my twenty years as a licensed clinician, it is my joy to combine private practice in Oakland with my teaching at CIIS. I have been working with individuals, couples, and groups for over twenty years, both in private practice and in various medical centers and community clinics. This range and depth of experience have imprinted me with profound regard for the spectrum of ways people suffer and heal from psychological distress. I specialize in dreamwork. Whatever the struggles are that you are facing, I will help you to approach those struggles with loving-kindness and to invite compassion in order to work with those struggles from a place of wisdom. Therapeutic relationship is a turning key in this process and a unique container for it. I see residents of California, New York and Washington, online.
