About

I’ve often been asked, “How do I pick a therapist?” It’s true that picking the right therapist isn’t easy. It’s not like some things where you can just google “Best Vacuum” and get a top ten list. If only it worked that way! Then again, maybe it shouldn’t. Therapy is a relationship and like all relationships, not everyone is a good match for us. We can get a sense when someone is right though, and trusting that gut feeling is a good place to start. Try to meet with a few people and see if you feel safe and are able to be yourself. That's so important.

That said, what would be helpful to know about me? I can work with all kinds of adults but I’m best for people who want to go deep and understand who they are and why they are struggling. I focus on the unconscious, mysterious forces that motivate (and demotivate) us. I also have experience working with couples and non-traditional relationship structures.

I have spent time playing in jazz and rock bands, as well as studying mysticism, comparative religion, anthropology/folklore, dreams, and online gaming. I also have an interest in art and the creative process.
