About

Wendy's meditation practice of self-inquiry and the Buddhist principles of non-duality support her work and contribute to an accepting and non-judgmental space. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in self-inquiry, incorporating a strengths-based perspective, components of CBT, and a focus on the person-in-environment, understanding that our environments and communities affect our being and sense of wholeness. The therapeutic relationship is a collaborative process where clients have the freedom to guide the session and choose their intention for this journey.

Wendy is deeply committed to serving communities of color. As a Black-identified Afro-Dominican, she brings a unique perspective and a passion for creating a supportive and peaceful space for her clients. Therapy is a journey towards gaining inner wisdom, and she is dedicated to providing a safe space for her clients to explore their inner worlds.

Currently working toward completing her Master of Social Work degree at SUNY Albany, Wendy previously received a Master of Fine Arts from Brooklyn College in Media Production. She has also worked in corporate America before the pandemic, an experience that has enriched her understanding of workplace stress and interpersonal dynamics.
