People of all ages seek talk therapy during emotional crises, as it helps them identify symptoms of anxiety and depression stemming from academic, social, and emotional stressors. I specialize in assisting individuals in developing coping strategies and creating a plan for returning to a sense of normalcy using evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology who received a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston. I speak English and Spanish fluently and have over 20 years of experiences working in crisis intervention, counseling, and in psychological and psychoeducational evaluation and consultation.
