We all seek a psychotherapist when we feel lost, confused, out of sorts with ourselves and others and it takes courage to expose one's self at times like this. Just the act of making the call to a therapist creates more confidence because it's a step towards gaining a little mastery over one's confusion or paralysis. It signals one does believe there's the chance of resolving one's problems and moving forward. As a psychotherapist I'm trained to listen to what friends and family don't or can't hear. And I believe Investing yourself in psychotherapy can change your life for the better. As a young adult, that was my experience. Finding the right therapist may take time, but I believe it's well worth your effort.
