Psychotherapy is not about a healer and a patient. Therapy is a human-to-human encounter where we build safety, radical acceptance, courageous self-assessment, and mutual humility. Together we build the strength, skills, courage and insight needed to reckon with all the turbulence that brought you to this moment, this meeting. I have certain skills, tools-for-exploration-and-healing, and ongoing specialized training. We hold space together to re-experience/speak/honor our suffering, and then use what we discover to grow your capacity for compassion, release, equanimity and joyful living. My therapy stance is unwaveringly positive and research-informed. I continue to study attachment-focused approach (google "EFCT") to couples work, plus "sex-positive literacy" for couples. I also offer a structured story-retelling model to safely re-experience, re-process and heal life traumas. I also have 30 years exp. in/with 12-step programs/philosophy. Meeting with me is about YOUR vision, which we define and then create a map for....maybe your destination is more acceptance & peace with what you've endured; perhaps you imagine a life with more joy, fewer regrets, more love, a deeper sense of purpose & meaning...we will map it and travel it together...I'm a guide, it's your adventure!
