About

What does it mean to "take care of your mental health?" It's easier to tell when you aren't taking care of it: chronic stress, exhaustion, worry, and panic are all signs your mental health is suffering. If untreated, you could start having nightmares, poor health, trouble in your relationships, and difficulty staying on top of work or school. There are many things that can lead to mental health struggles, like a too-busy schedule, a chronic illness or someone else's troubles, a major life transition, or a death of someone close to you. Or, it could seem to come out of the blue, caused by nothing at all.

Talk therapy is a great way to take care of your mental health. I can help you sort through what you're thinking and feeling and uncover what's causing you to suffer. Addressing those causes could mean learning to recognize errors in your thinking, build healthier communication skills, or developing coping skills to get you through especially hard moments.

I address a variety of issues, including trauma, through traditional talk therapy in the form of CBT and DBT. Sometimes it isn't obvious when a problem stems from trauma, especially if it happened long ago. This is something I can help you sort through. Reach out to me today so we can get you on the path to feeling better.
