We were made for relationships…like good relationships — with God, one another and ourselves. But that’s easier said than done, right? We get hurt. Or we do some of the hurting. We feel fractured, broken and bent. So what would it look like to reconnect and experience life the way we were meant to: whole, vulnerable, loved and well, connected? I want to help you get there. Let's find a way to reconnect. I utilize EFT (emotionally focused therapy) in my work with individuals and couples. EFT is: 1) Experiential: Rather than simply give you a set of skills to work on, I want you to experience connection with your partner (or self) in the counseling room. 2) Emotion-Focused: We don’t just talk about your emotions in session, we feel them. 3) Attachment-Based: I believe that we were created for relationships…with God, one another and ourselves. But when that isn't working we do some crazy things to feel safe and secure again. When we see our behavior through the lens of attachment, it makes room for self compassion, which is the foundation of change.
