“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen” Brene Brown. I believe reaching out for counseling support takes courage as it leads us out of our comfort zone. Finding a supportive counselor is an important first step in the counseling process and I base my practice on being a supportive and non-judgmental partner to help you navigate through difficult times. I wholeheartedly believe that making one or two small changes can free a person up to move toward the life they want to live. I love the work I do! My practice is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients make steps toward a meaningful life. I incorporate Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness Skills to help clients resolve issues and gain skills to use on a daily basis. I practice within a trauma informed framework. I have been in the counseling field for 25+ years. I am skilled in working with clients with mental health issues that include addiction, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, grief, and relationship issues. A "good fit" is important in counseling. Please call for a no pressure consultation to see if we could work together for postive change in your life.
