About

Welcome to my Psychology Today profile, thanks for being here! My name is Veronica Delgado (she/ella) and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist. I am also currently pursuing training to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). I incorporate art making and somatic work into my psychotherapy practice to help adults and teenagers with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, histories of abuse and neglect (including sexual abuse and assault), and post-traumatic stress disorder.

My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe place for you to connect and explore your inner world. Therapy with me will look at the deeper “why” and “how” rather than just managing symptoms. I aim to be a compassionate witness and to partner with you to help you understand yourself better and move through the world with more ease and less pain & suffering.

As a Latine therapist and intersectional feminist I’m also committed to anti-oppressive work. I believe that mental health professionals have a special responsibility to understand all of the complexities and nuances of a person and to participate in dismantling oppressive systems which include but are not limited to sexism, racism, homophobia, Zionism etc.
