Anchor Perinatal Wellness is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that serves adults during pregnancy and up to 18 months postpartum who are struggling with the following perinatal conditions: depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, traumatic birth, obsessions and compulsions, bipolar disorder, and other perinatal distress. We aim to fill a gap in our area's current system of care for pregnant and postpartum people by providing more support than traditional outpatient care offers but less support than inpatient care. Our program was designed with the following values in mind: 1) High Standards of Quality 2) Whole Person Care 3) Collaborative Care 4) Evidence-Based Treatment 5) Inclusivity 6) Reproductive Justice During our program, clients live at home and attend programming for ten hours per week. This includes 3 hours of specialized group programming, 3 days a week, as well as a weekly session of individual psychotherapy. Family therapy is also included, as needed. Treatment includes multiple evidence-based modalities, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBTs), and somatic therapies.
