When a child you care about is struggling, it can feel overwhelming. Young children express their difficult emotions and stress differently than adults. My specialty is communicating with children and collaborating with their caregivers to promote healthy functioning and wellbeing for everyone involved. In my office, you will find a safe, non-judgmental environment. I treat each child as a unique person that is part of a unique whole. I believe there is no "one size fits all" approach. I work closely with caregivers to develop individualized strategies, make changes and accomplish goals that are the right fit for the situation. I have 25 years of experience working with young children, as a clinical therapist and teacher. I create strong, therapeutic relationships, within which children can process their emotions/experiences and share their challenges and concerns. The trusting relationship provides a foundation for learning new communication skills and self regulation. My practice is dedicated to finding solutions for children that are experiencing difficulty in any area of their lives and a supportive partnership with caregivers makes it possible.
