About

I specialize in helping people work through anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences and adjust to life changes. My goal is to help you find a way to identify and then move towards what is most important in your life. This can entail identifying obstacles that can keep us trapped in old patterns and habits that no longer serve us well, such as traumatic memories or simply negative concepts about ourselves. Entering therapy is signaling that you are ready to make significant change - whether in behaviors or thoughts - to find deeper meaning in your life.

My overall practice framework is "Acceptance and commitment therapy" (ACT) which is an action-oriented approach to identify thoughts, feelings and behaviors getting in the way of reaching identified goals . Through ACT you can learn to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with emotions. I am also trained in CBT, DBT and EMDR.

If you want to know more about my practice approach, I can be reached by email or by phone (207) 807-8404 and offer 15 minute free phone consultations.
