With over 30 years of experience, I help clients to begin again, try something new, transform their relationships, increase their sense of well-being, and heal emotional pain. As a culturally sensitive, growth-oriented, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I create safe, affirming, non-judgemental relationships quickly with individuals and couples from many backgrounds, painful histories, faiths, cultures, and sexual orientations. I enjoy working with couples in traditional marriages or in non-traditional relationships. I am currently seeing clients by telehealth only. I am a level II Gottman Method Couples Therapist and use this along with feminist and Bowenian family therapy. I began working with the LGBTQ community in the mid-1990s when I oversaw the mental health program at Metro AIDS, St. Louis. I was the President of the Missouri Marriage and Family Therapy Association. I enjoy teaching art therapy graduate students. I work with clients to quickly assess fit and build a working therapeutic alliance. I have experience with a broad range of issues from communication problems, infidelity, grief, loss, and life transitions. With respect, compassion, hope, and a little bit of humor, we work together to reach clinical goals.
