Have you been wondering how to take care of yourself in the midst of trying to take care of everyone else around you? Or trying to figure out how to get help for your loved ones, like your child, partner, or family? I can help you to sort through the chaos and figure out ways to get support, set boundaries, communicate better, and move forward. I have worked in outpatient therapy, residential substance abuse/mood treatment, family therapy, primary care, and the crisis hotline. I believe in an integrated approach to therapy, drawing from play and art therapy techniques, cognitive-behavioral exercises, trauma processing, resiliency building, whole body wellness, and more. I believe that it is important to incorporate lived experience, cultural perspectives, and community supports as part of the healing process. I named my practice "Hózhó" after the Diné concept of beauty, wellness, joy, and wholeness. I believe that this word embodies what we are searching for in counseling, recognizing the beauty behind us (past), around us (present), before us (future), and finding a way to the beauty within us. I want to help you find what "hózhó" means to you.
