Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I have worked in mental health for over 20 years, with both teens and adults. I have provided a wide variety of support and counseling to address various mental health and adjustment issues among Veterans, individuals, families, and trauma survivors. My role as a therapist is to collaboratively identify your goals and work toward developing the skills and motivation you need to reach them. Seeking the support you need to address barriers that have impeded your ability to reach those goals alone shows strength and a desire to move your life forward. Currently offering 35% discount on trauma sessions, including EMDR, for victims of hurricane Helene and Milton. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Brief Solution Therapy to guide clients on a journey of healing and hope, but all treatment is individualized to client needs. I also offer adoption services. As a counselor it is my job to listen. To listen without judgement. To listen with empathy. To listen for the messages that underly the words, and to gently point them out as a means of initiating change and growth. Counseling does not involve advice giving, but rather helping you to find your own solutions.
