Hello! You have taken the first step in moving towards a life you can be proud of; congratulations. Life has a way of placing obstacles in our path and sometimes these challenges can seem insurmountable. Know that you don’t have to face these challenges alone and that with some help the things that seem impossible can become possible. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. I earned my master’s in professional counseling from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. My professional career consists of working in community mental health and outpatient treatment settings. I have experience working with adult populations with a variety of presenting illnesses, including depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma, mania, and personality disorders. I approach therapy from a dialectical behavioral therapy perspective coupled with motivational interviewing. I believe everything has a cause. All our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors have causes. While blaming and guilt often feel easier in the moment, if we want to build a life worth living, we must work to change what we can and accept what we cannot change. My goal is to help you develop the skills needed to take control and build a life worth living.
