Unable to accept new patients at this time. My approach is strengths based and trauma informed. I believe we all have an innate drive to be well. My practice is influenced by polyvagal theory, focusing on the role of the autonomic nervous system on our brain and body and how that impacts our emotions and behaviors. I use education to help people make sense of their experiences and regulation strategies to restore a sense of safety. I find this to help remove barriers that can keep us stuck in states of anxiety, depression, relationship problems and more. Please visit www.restoringrhythmvt.com for more. I have the capacity to form strong relationships that build empathy, understanding, and the confidence in yourself to overcome challenges you are facing. I have a comprehensive understanding of the impacts of stress and trauma on mental health and look at challenges through the lens of "What happened in your life" vs. "What is wrong with you". I grew up in Franklin County and enjoy serving people here. I enjoy incorporating music, humor, and drumming in therapy. Therapy is challenging and rewarding work and my favorite part is getting to witness people overcome challenges they may not have believed were possible.
