I am currently accepting new clients (Updated: 1/11/2023) The ideal client is the one that comes as they are. There's often a pressure people feel to have their struggles neatly wrapped and ready to talk about when initiating therapy. However, therapy can be the perfect place to start that process to form a better understanding of the issues, the needs, and ultimately your own goals. I believe that everyone walking into therapy has a unique story and requires an individualized approach. Through empathy and unconditional positive regard clients are better able to understand their perspectives, beliefs, and narrative and identify ways to address their obstacles. There is no cookie-cutter or standard approach to coping. I have nearly a decade of experience working with people identifying and integrating coping skills (Primarily DBT) and strategies to better improve emotional regulation. Everyone's coping skills and habits are unique to themselves and finding the right skills to move forward is an important process.
