Anxiety interferes with everything. I've devoted my career to trauma and anxiety research, training, and treatment. I covet the opportunity to work with you to reduce the daily tension of warding off stress and internal dialogue while attempting to accomplish the life you're wanting to live. My clinical focus has always been related to adults who have experienced trauma; both isolated incidence and compounded experiential. I've worked heavily with first responders, competitive athletes, survivors of abusive relationships, and survivors of religious trauma. I am trained in several modalities of trauma treatment including EMDR, TF-CBT, and SE. While an empathetic environment will always be foundational, I approach treatment with an expectation that understanding influences interpretation. This belief informs my practice style where we will work in tandem to reduce tendencies toward self-blame and shaming and work toward relief and security of self. I'd love to hear about your world!
