If you are feeling sad, overwhelmed, anxious, or if you are recovering from trauma, therapy can help. As a therapist with 14 years experience I know how difficult it can be to go through a normal day struggling with mental health difficulties. When everyday situations become overwhelming, it may be time to consider therapy. Therapy can provide support and the tools we may need to heal from the past and/or address the future. Either way you could leave therapy with a sense of empowerment, success and personal understanding. Therapy won't fix everything but therapy will help you realize "you got this". I specialize in treating trauma, addiction, depression and anxiety. I help clients learn coping skills to better manage difficulties in life. I also provide support while your learning to cope with depression, anxiety and difficult life transitions. Sometimes we can make those transitions alone but it always helps to have support along the way. While your sitting in the waiting area outside therapist's door you may feel anxious. You may have thoughts like: will I like her, will she be able to help, did I make the right choice to come here? As your therapist I can't help with that initial fear, but I can provide a sensitive, empathic and professional space for your healing.
