I believe that kindness, respect and a little humor help us to achieve goals in life, and this goes double for therapy. Research indicates that the therapeutic relationship is the most important component of therapy, that across all types of therapy, the greatest predictor of successful therapy is an excellent therapeutic relationship. So, finding the right fit is crucial. When asked, I advise friends and family to contact a few therapists, and find the best chemistry, or fit. I advise you reading this to do the same thing. If you are experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship challenges (especially breaking free from toxic relationships), or are looking for recovery support, I invite you to call and set up a consultation to assess the fit for you and consider the goals of therapy together. If we don't work together going forward, I will not charge for the initial visit. I have experience dealing with trauma (sexual and otherwise), addiction, dual diagnosis, and and am trained for EMDR psychotherapy. I believe in a holistic approach to problems. I feel privileged to support people as they face and overcome pain, make productive changes, and finally feel energized and happier.
