I believe children and teens can learn, grow, and thrive when they have coping skills, feel empowered, and practice self-care. My goal is to encourage youth to learn who they are and how to advocate for their unique needs. I specialize in working with neurodiverse, gifted and twice-exceptional (2e) youth and their families. I encourage youth to use their strengths and interests in order to grow, heal, and cope. Building self-awareness, such as understanding their own sensory processing and asynchronous development, is an important part of my work with youth. When possible, I love to use play, sensory based experiences, and art in my work. I believe that therapy is most successful when a trusting relationship has been built between the client and myself. In addition, I feel it is vital that parents can also trust me as we partner together to support their child/teen. I aim to help facilitate healthy communication between children and parents.
