I provide a Client Centered, Action Oriented, Humanistic approach to supporting adolescents and young adults through challenges that can arise during this developmental stage. With over 25 years of experience working with youth in various settings, I have come to understand the importance of creating a safe space where youth can explore and process their feelings, gain the skills necessary to cope with adversity, and articulate their hopes and dreams; becoming strong, resilient young men and women; ready and able to reach their fullest potentials. It is my hope to witness this growth in every child I work with. Using an integrated approach of psychodynamic psychotherapy, strength based therapy, CBT and family work, I have had success in treating adolescents who experience depression, anxiety, issues related to trauma, grief, issues with identity, self harming behaviors and family conflict. With extensive experience as a clinician in the schools, my expertise extends to treating youth with ADHD, difficult peer relationships, transition and adjustment issues, school issues, school and work avoidance; and a solid understanding of the Individual Education Plan process.
