Hi there! My name is Tom, or as many of my patients know me as “Tall” Tom (standing at 6’8). I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. I have provided countless sessions from small children (where I specialize in working with ages 3-10) to adults for over 6 years now. I am now providing both telehealth and in-person therapy. Here’s what I know… You are someone that is actively seeking help, but I truly believe that you are the expert on you (and child/children). I am the expert on counseling. So, when we meet, we are two experts trying to benefit your family’s life. As we explore together your life’s trials in therapy, I tend to navigate and mediate from a person-centered/non-directive approach of counseling. I find that this pairs well with my experience in EMDR, allowing you to feel how you feel and when you feel it. Incorporating this as well as mindfulness practices allows for brain/body connection and healing. I believe that we are called to be in relationship with others, so I would love nothing more than to meet you and for us to enter into a therapeutic relationship together.
