My career began at the Capital Institute for Cognitive Therapy, studying and providing supervision and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I have additionally pursued training in Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Psychodynamic, Mindfulness-based, and Metacognitive approaches. These are the main schools in the field, and combined allow me to offer both practical techniques for troublesome thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; as well as help you see subtleties in yourself that likely influence how and why you may be stuck. My practice is varied, but I most often help people struggling with depression, Bipolar Disorder, anxiety and worry, panic, work stress, social anxiety, OCD, trauma, mild to moderate substance abuse/eating disorders, relationship difficulties, difficulty with life direction/life satisfaction, difficulties with emotional instability, and self esteem. I am well suited to my profession; I love it and am good at it. I will help you pinpoint what you need to know, and then help you get to a better place. Most of my patients describe our work as helpful and productive, and come to feeling and living better.
