Hello, my name is Tim, and I'm a licensed independent social worker, I have been married for 23 years and have 3 children, ages 18, 15, and 8. I spent about 10 years working in residential treatment centers with children and teens. My wife and I worked as professional/therapeutic foster parents for about 5 years. I worked for about 8 years as a school counselor in Lorain, OH in middle schools, junior highs, and high schools. When the schools shut down from COVID, I worked in nursing homes as a counselor for 3 years. I have an extensive background in Biblical/religious studies and counseling, but I am mindful of my own values, and work hard to make sure everyone I work with feels comfortable, no matter their religious/spiritual background or values My goal is to teach my clients how to be their own therapist, and to work myself out of a job. I strongly emphasize the importance of honor, and how honor leads to trust, and trust leads to influence.
