Perhaps you are feeling stuck in your life, or held back by anxiety or low self-esteem. It may be that you're having problems in your relationships or your professional life. Or you have prior experience with psychotherapy and are now looking for a new approach. Psychodynamic psychotherapy can help you cope with the challenges you are facing, while helping you gain insight into your complex inner life. My job is to help you to find a way to move forward in your life, to experience a fuller emotional range if your emotional life is inhibited or to get your emotional life under control if you are experiencing intense anxiety or anger. I provide individual psychotherapy and psychoanalysis (a more intensive form of psychotherapeutic work). I believe that psychotherapy should engage the patient's whole personality, with attention to their particular way of seeing and experiencing the world and the self. Effective psychotherapy can substantially mitigate chronic states of anxiety and depression, and it can also help you discover a whole new side to yourself and what you want out of life.
