As a professional that spent 10 years as a police officer, I understand the difficulties that come with taking the time to care for yourself. Being able to open up and share life events that cause anxiety, depression, restlessness, anger, PTSD, and fear are barriers that are hard to overcome. Building trust and feeling safe are not easy things to do but are necessary for healing emotional wounds suffered by exposure to life's challenges. Holding on to these emotions only breeds conflict in one’s professional and personal life. I provide a safe, non-judgemental environment to process trauma through CBT and EMDR. I also encourage and support a change in high conflict relationships and families by providing skills to build self-esteem, reduce anxiety/ depression, improve motivation, and address anger issues in teens and adults. You are the expert in your life and taking the steps to allow yourself to be supported can be difficult. I provide a straight forward and caring approach with my practice being built on the principles that healing happens through courage, commitment, and respect. What was your normal yesterday, does not have to be your normal tomorrow.
