Change is a process and not an event. Whether you interested in establishing a new relationship to substances, addressing relapse, or have been sober for a while and want to work on underlying issues, I welcome you. I believe that most often substance use is a symptom of underlying issues and people turn to unhealthy behaviors to manage. If these issues are not addressed a person will relapse. I specialize in co-occurring disorders including Trauma, Depression, Bi-polar Disorder, and Anxiety. I have over twenty five years of personal and professional experience in addiction recovery. View 5 Photos Too often substance use is treated with a one size fits all approach. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques including EMDR, CBT and Solution Focus. To me it makes as much sense to attempt to treat addiction without looking at the underlying causes and conditions as it would be to attempt to treat diabetes without looking at diet and lifestyle. In life we are never finished, we are always training for the next challenge. I invite you to face the challenges that life has, with support and passion. I also work with family members of people experiencing addiction. Now utilizing all electronic medical records for your confidentiality.
