About

I specialize in working with patients and/or family members dealing with adjustment reactions to medical illnesses including: cancer, neurological, aging, various physical/mental challenges: with associated grief; loss; depression; anxiety. I teach different coping strategies to deal with these issues. Including: Cognitive Behavioral techniques; Relaxation/stress reduction exercises; in naming just a couple of means of working with these difficult and often painful situations.

I have worked over 40-years in my chosen field because I enjoy the work that I do and the clients that I work with. Every person has a unique story and I consider myself honored in having clients share their stories with me in the confidential/comfortable atmosphere of my counseling office.

Many times the hardest thing to do is to pick-up the phone and make the initial call to the therapists office. I try to set-the-stage during this initial call to make my prospective clients as comfortable as possible, during this sometimes "anxiety inducing" process.
