When people make the decision to see a therapist for the first time, they often feel a little anxious. My clients frequently say that I'm easy to talk to, and they tend to feel comfortable with me fairly quickly. To me, therapy is a lot like detective work. My job isn't to provide answers, it's to help figure out the questions. If I can help clients figure out what questions they need to be asking themselves, together we're generally able to find the answers they need. My approach to therapy is based on a deep respect for my clients, regardless of their past experiences or current life circumstances. In addition to my professional training and clinical experience, what I bring to every session is the desire to motivate, encourage and inspire clients to achieve their goals.
