Hello! I'm Tessa (she/they) and I provide therapy for adults (18+) who are experiencing a wide variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, interpersonal issues, and more. As a queer therapist, I am especially passionate about working with individuals who identify within the LGBTQ+ community. In my sessions, I help my clients explore how their own self-concept influences how they interact with the world, as well as understanding the external and internal influences that may be impacting your mental health. My counseling style is warm, nonjudgemental, and focuses on one's self-concept by using techniques from CBT, DBT, person-centered therapy, and multicultural counseling theories. I practice trauma-informed care, utilize a strengths-based perspective, & am flexible in my treatment approach and will work to individualize your treatment. If you are looking to explore your mental health concerns with me, I invite you to reach out through email so we can arrange a time to chat about your concerns and whether I would be a good fit as your therapist. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have about the services I offer. I look forward to talking with you soon!
