I believe making the decision to enter psychotherapy is one of the best choices a person can make. It marks the beginning of a major life-enhancing process. Therapy offers the opportunity to truly know oneself on a level that uncovers underlying feelings, anxieties, and defenses which manifest themselves in interpersonal difficulties and other life issues. Therefore, the selection of a therapist you feel comfortable with and can trust is crucial to a positive and successful experience. Psychotherapy is an amazing journey leading to greater self-awareness, self-esteem, and healthy interpersonal relationships. It takes courage to honestly face oneself, and come to know the reasons behind self-defeating feelings and actions. Once there is self-acceptance, a person can decide which personality traits need to be changed in order for life and relationships to become healthier and more fulfilling. I have been practicing as a clinical psychologist for over 30 years and have committed myself to providing a supportive, nurturing, and individualized therapeutic experience. My professional is goal is to help others explore the origins of emotional difficulties, and ultimately, learn practical techniques to effect enduring change.
