If you or your child are someone wondering… ⁃ The “why” behind anxiety symptoms ⁃ The “how to do this” behind grief ⁃ The “what do I do” for emotional and behavioral de-escalation ⁃ The “what do I say” when communicating with your teen ⁃ Or need a space to process the day-to-day stresses of life... then I welcome you to an eclectic approach. Together, we will build your understanding of body-based symptoms through Psychoeducation, reshape unhelpful thought patterns using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and practice mindfulness/coping techniques with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. And yes we will practice this together! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I use this knowledge combined with action to process stress, anxiety, grief, and more. In session, we will perform many coping techniques together, build your understanding of symptoms, and overall create growth. Beginning therapy can be quite nerve-racking. I assure you that I too am human and understand these jitters. My job is to provide a space for you to be yourself and speak openly of your struggles. I encourage you to come as you are and let's see what we can do in our work together. Be well, be safe, and see you soon!
