Way to go, you have taken the first (and often the most difficult) step towards emotional growth and self-discovery! Emotions extend far beyond simple labels like "happy," "sad," or "mad" for most individuals. Navigating the complexity of those thoughts, feelings, and emotions alone can be quite a daunting and overwhelming task...that's where I come in. I'm Taylor Callais-Rusich and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Lafayette, LA. Therapy is a process of self-discovery where you, as the client, can have a safe space to allow your true self to explore without fear of judgement. I've worked with a variety of clients and I recognize and value the importance of incorporating culturally sensitive practices into therapy to ensure clients feel safe, seen, and heard. I have a passion for supporting women, mothers, individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, and individuals struggling with anxiety, depression and body image disturbances. Working from a holistic, client-centered approach helps me to guide clients in their own process of self-exploration.
