I work with child and adult clients to address a wide-range of concerns including anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD or general childhood behavioral challenges, parenting concerns, stress during life transitions, health-related issues (pain, adjustment to illness), among others. I primarily use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in my work with clients. I also have specific expertise in neuropsychological assessment for children and young adults, which includes evaluations for cognitive (IQ, attention, executive function), academic, social-emotional, and behavioral concerns. I offer personalized, compassionate care to help clients harness sources of strength and resilience. In therapy, I offer practical, evidenced-based strategies such as CBT and ACT to help clients better handle difficult emotions and improve coping. I use neuropsychological assessments to help families better understand and support their child as they grow. Implicit to my practice is the belief that each one of us possesses the emotional wherewithal and many of the skills needed to navigate life’s journey; sometimes we just need to gain additional perspective and access workable strategies to move forward. I support clients by offering strategies that improve wellbeing and increase the ease of everyday life.
