New Openings 10/1/24. I work with children and parents in need of support in dealing with a variety of child or family related challenges. Parents truly are the experts of their children and thus their role in the therapeutic process is vital. I believe in interdisciplinary collaboration in order to best meet the needs of every child and family. Growing up is not only confusing, but challenging too. I offer children a safe place to explore their thoughts and feelings through play, as play is the primary language of childhood. I offer parents insight and suggestions in dealing with difficult behaviors, challenging family dynamics and life stressors. I offer a client-centered and strength-based perspective in my work with children and families. I believe that everyone has strengths, but sometimes need help identifying those strengths and utilizing them. I believe in the inherent ability of children to grow, change and be successful given the right tools and appropriate levels of support.
