Hello, my name is Tanya Phillips, I am a License Mental Health Counselor and a Clinical Therapist. I have lived in Hawaii for over 16 years and spent 8+years working with many diverse populations in my community. I am passionate about helping clients through various relational challenges and/or traumatic experiences by supporting them through their process of healing and recovery. The goal is to gain healthy coping skills in a safe space for clients. I have experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and dual diagnosis. I practice with a holistic and integrative approach using humanistic and cognitive behavioral therapies for person-centered treatment. I provide a safe space for those who seek to begin healing one step at a time. This will depend on the clients' immediate need and go from there. It is an individual process. Based on humanistic approaches open communication is appropriate, which creates the interchange of ideas and perspectives so that clients and therapist can create healthy avenues for healing. I have a gentle and warm demeanor, but a structured process and always client-centered focus.
