As a native Houstonian, a proud University of Houston graduate, and founder of Big State Counseling PLLC, I am deeply rooted in serving those in our community. My expertise includes over 20 years of experience in the mental health field in a variety of settings (private clinics, autism center, juvenile justice centers, behavioral health/psychiatric hospital, cancer hospital, grief center). In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I am a School Psychologist/Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) in Houston-area public schools. When working with children and adolescents, my practice is centered on providing a safe space to talk about the human experience and navigate the development of a individualized set of coping strategies for managing difficult moments.
