About

I strongly believe in building therapeutic relationships that cultivate an environment of trust and honesty. By utilizing Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral therapies in combination with a person-centered approach, I can challenge and support patients by developing effective coping strategies, mood regulation techniques and the ability to gain control of impulses. Working both independently and on specialized teams to train and implement strategies for supporting staff of developmentally disabled individuals, these techniques have become the cornerstone of my practice.

Over the years, I have also expanded my experiences through work with public schools, residential/vocational programs and intensive outpatient treatment centers. This includes a variety of dual-diagnoses, the intellectually disabled, co-occurring with anxiety, depression, impulsivity/ADHD, self-harming behaviors/suicidal ideation, low self-esteem, anger and relationships.

After more than 15 years of counseling experience, I support a wide variety of clients and diagnoses. These services support a collaboration of care that are designed to positively impact patients' life, both inside the therapy room and in the social settings of the community.
