About

If you are experiencing feelings of sadness or depression, feeling overwhelmed with stress or anxiety, struggling with past trauma, feeling challenged by romantic relationships, having a hard time processing grief, if you are unsure of your purpose in life, confused about the next step in your career, or simply feeling like something is holding you back from reaching your full potential, I'd love to talk with you. I'm Dr. Tai, the founder of The Black Girl Doctor, a completely virtual therapy practice specializing in the mental health of professional Black women. View 4 Photos

What I know to be true, is that even those of us who seem to have it all together on the outside, often struggle on the inside. Being successful does not shield you from emotional pain and sometimes it complicates it. I guide clients through their pain and into a space where they can experience joy daily despite living in a world that tries to steal it.

I practice within a short term model and offer real solutions using research based methods. You can expect to gain a new perspective, learn new skills, and to rid yourself of whatever is preventing you from living your best life. I look forward to connecting with you, learning about your strengths, and teaching you how to use them to overcome any obstacle.
